Jamazin Tans: Show Prep & Tanning Guide

Follow these steps for a flawless, stage-ready tan that lasts and looks perfect under the lights.

Step 1: Start Skin Prep Early

🗓️

7–14 days before your appointment:

• Begin your full skin prep regimen—a few days is not enough.
• Stop waxing 14 days before your tan.
• Start full-body shaving 3–4 weeks before to prevent razor rash.
• Avoid sunburns—burned skin flakes and may prevent the tan from adhering.
• Soak in the tub twice the week of your show to loosen dead skin for exfoliation.

Step 2: Exfoliation & Moisturizing

• Exfoliate daily using hands only in circular motions. Avoid loofahs, mitts, harsh brushes, and scrubs.
• Do not use oils or sugar scrubs—they prevent even application.
• Moisturize twice daily leading up to your appointment.
• Skip moisturizers the day of your tan.

Step 3: Day-Before & Show Day Application

Day Before Show:

• Two coats of base tan applied for even, long-lasting color.
• Wear dark, loose-fitting clothing and flip-flops.

Show Day:

• Final color applied, plus body glaze for stage-ready shine.
• Tan maintained throughout the night by our team.

Day-of Prep Guidelines:

• Shower with non-moisturizing gel soap only.
• Skin must be clean, dry, and free of deodorant or perfume/cologne.
• Shave at least 8 hours before your appointment; waxing not recommended.
• Wear dark, loose clothing and flip-flops.

Clothing & Coverage:

• Women: nude spray OK; bring a hair tie, cap provided.
• Men: nude spray OK; sock provided for coverage or wear smaller trunks/boards.

Step 4: After Application & Overnight Care

• Spray tan takes 10 minutes to apply and 10–20 minutes to dry.
• May feel slightly sticky for up to an hour.
• Sleep in loose, oversized clothing—never nude.
• Touch-ups are done the following morning before prejudging.

Step 5: Show Day Touch-Ups & Assistance

• Our trained staff handles suit adjustments, “bikini bite” touch-ups, and gluing.
• We prioritize your comfort and stage readiness—everything in place for you to shine confidently.

Important Notes

• Competitors are responsible for any staining of hotel property; bring extra sheets and towels.
• Most clients experience minimal rub-off, but hotels may charge for competition-related stains.
• Follow all prep steps exactly for the longest-lasting, most even tan possible.
